Purpose Doing our best since 1998

Our mission (ambition) statement

We are a global brand, digital and marketing agency, made up of strategists, creatives and technologists, but most importantly we like to think of ourselves as pretty decent human beings.

We're ambitious and purpose-driven and it's no coincidence that so too are our brilliant family of clients. As such

we really truly believe in the power of balancing people, profit and planet

and all our team of Escapees are committed to making a positive impact towards a more sustainable, kind and just world. This is seen inwardly through actions within our agency, and outwardly supporting our clients and key stakeholders where we can.

Let's be clear though. We're not perfect and we don't have all the answers. In fact far from it;

for us, it's an ongoing journey

and we know that through listening, watching, learning, being inspired and following our gut, that every change no matter how big or small will be for the better.

That's also why we believe in making a conscious difference in areas where we can have the most impact. For us, this means making more sustainable choices when it comes to our own actions, supporting our local community and environment where we live and work, and of course looking after the people who make up our brilliant team, through our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusivity.

Our B Corp journey

We are currently on a mission to become B Corp certified.

Honestly, we weren't sure whether to keep this to ourselves until we find out if we've been certified. But you know what, with or without the certification, the journey we've been on over the last year before submission has already made us all the better for it.

Using their framework and assessments, to inspire and guide us towards meeting the highest standards of ESG criteria has had such a positive impact, not only in pushing us to do and be better but also in highlighting where we're already doing a decent job (always nice to know!).

We're not going to lie though, it's a beast of a mission and we applaud all those who have gone before us in gaining this accreditation. So watch this space and we'll keep you posted as and when we know more!

If you'd like to find out more about B Corp and what's involved, head over to their website here.

Volunteering and fundraising

It always has been (and always will be) incredibly important to us to support local charities and organisations.

Over the years, we've supported charities of all different shapes and sizes, across a variety of causes, from food banks and wildlife conservation to cancer support.

Every Escapee is given two extra days a year to volunteer for a charity of their choice. This is particularly important to us as we all understand how personal charity can be.

Here's a little snapshot of some of our more recent activities...

Spotlight on...

For Christmas 2022, with it being particularly tough with the cost of living and energy crisis, on top of our wider charity and volunteering initiatives, we wanted to provide the team with the opportunity to come together to support a local charity - Basingstoke Food Bank.

Together with our peers, we collected over 335kg worth of food, hygiene and sanitary products (that's twice the weight of a large panda, in case you were wondering). With this, we hope to have eased the burden, even if just a little, for a charity that does so much for our local community.

Values & Culture

People and culture is the beating heart of our agency. We're kind, empathetic, hard-working, fun, silly, and not afraid to make fools of ourselves, but with shed loads of talent thrown in too.
