In need of more creativity
The project
Harbour Hotels had already earned its place as a go-to for weekends away. Stylish, contemporary, and effortlessly cool—it was a brand people recognised and returned to.
But when it came to longer breaks, it wasn’t always the first choice.
Changing how people see a stay
As summer approached, the opportunity wasn’t to introduce the brand, but to reframe it.
To shift perception from short stay to something more expansive. From a quick escape to a destination in its own right. Because each Harbour location already had what people look for in a holiday; coastlines, countryside, culture, and experiences.
It just needed to be seen that way.
Making local feel like a destination
We built an organic social campaign designed to bring each location to life.
Rather than focusing on the hotels themselves, the content centred on what surrounds them. Hidden gems, local experiences, and the kind of moments that turn a stay into a holiday.
The ‘HarHOLIDAY’ campaign introduced four distinct content themes, tailored to different audiences—from couples and families to adventure-seekers and sun-chasers—allowing the brand to speak to a broader set of motivations.
From weekend break to holiday mindset
To drive engagement, we introduced interactive formats such as polls inviting audiences to explore choices and imagine their stay. Spa or bar? Coast or countryside? This created a sense of participation, helping people picture themselves there while showcasing the diversity of each location.
Content was delivered across both group and local hotel accounts, balancing brand consistency with local personality.
The campaign reached thousands, increasing both awareness and engagement across social channels.
More importantly, it began to shift perception; positioning Harbour Hotels not just as a place to visit briefly, but somewhere to stay longer, explore more, and return to.
