A little bit about the project
Heaven sent as far as we're concerned. A new retro-focussed sweet shop opening in Winchester needed us to help them get off the ground with branding, an e-commerce website and luckily for us... a whole heap of things since.
Starting at the very beginning, we created a very classic, typographic focussed brand identity. Some have questioned why we didn't use the font Gill Sans, but if you know typography, you'll know the W of Gill will never have worked. Next step was translating the brand and shop experience online. Our illustrated approach, as if it were a shop front, fitted like a glove and enabled us to show the traditional woods, jars and vintage cash till as you'd experience them in the shop. Success has been quick to find Sweet Treat, even down to supplying the final series of Big Brother with sugary delights. To say we've made the odd visit to the shop to check... ahem... 'brand consistency' would be an under-statement.
