How to win at the CIPR Wessex Awards

Creativity

It’s blo*dy great when your hard work gets recognised and rewarded.

We’re not one of those agencies that goes in for every bit of creative silverware known to man. We like to be recognised for the value and return on investment our work has achieved for our clients. Creative effectiveness over pretty pictures if you like.

This year, in partnership with Briscoe French Communications and our shared client, EuroGeographics, the (EuroGeographics) Annual Review 2011 was entered into and shortlisted in the Best External Publication category at the 2012 CIPR Wessex Region Awards.

The awards ceremony was held last Wednesday night at the Ageas Bowl, Hampshire (home of Hampshire Cricket – pre-sponsorship opportunity was called The Rose Bowl!). A very well organised and enjoyable evening, hosted by Zoe Hanson, presenter of Capital FM’s Breakfast Show…. who I have to to say, did a cracking job of overseeing proceedings with both witty humour and knowledgeable insight.

As ever with these things, you have an anxious wait to hear your fate (sorry, went all Robbie Williams on you there!), smiling graciously as others go up and collect their winnings, while waiting for your moment to come.

At long last it did and we’re dead chuffed to announce that we were awarded a CIPR Silver!

So next year we’re going for Gold, but hey, many didn’t make it to the shortlist, so we’re really pleased to be rewarded for our collective efforts.

Here’s ‘our Lisa’ clutching our winnings, hotly followed by the ‘team shot’ courtesy of the event photographer, Dan Wilson Photography.
